A dominoes game based on colors/words, suitable for children who are just learning to read and write. It's best printed on card stock and cut up before class. The game is best played by 2, 3 or 4 students. Make up several sets and keep them so they can be re-used.

An introduction for using the color vowels to make English sounds. A step-by-step process for understanding color vowels. Includes the color vowel chart and exercises for applying the technique. This is a very useful guide for differentiating between the array of English sounds.   

Color Vowels Introduction

Listening activity to make students review vocabulary about colors. Listen to the song with the students and make them fill the blanked spaces. Next, ask them to color the paint pools in the order they listen to. Last, play the song one more time asking students to stand and sit down at the moments they hear their favorite color among the ones presented in the song.
