This worksheet includes a guide for students to create a commercial with questions, sentence starters, and ideas. After that, it includes two example commercials, one for a product and one for a business. I have purposefully uploaded this as a document so that instructors may adapt it in any way they would like to accommodate the needs of their students. For example, they could make it into a gap-filling exercise or writing graphic organizer, change the language in the examples, or add comprehension questions. Cheers!

A Tourism Commercial

Business English conversation using terms from accounting. The main purpose is to have the students interact and practice speaking. Teachers, however, can use it as a follow-up or initial task leading to more complex tasks. It is basic, but the terms can be taken for additional practice. The students are expected to develop their creativity while performing on stage by using appropriate body language, pronunciation, intonation and showing confidence.

First, I like to have my students listen and watch the entire clip without the worksheet. The second time through, I give them the script handout to read along with as they listen, pausing at the blanks to see if they have an idea of what word or phrase is missing. If it seems especially difficult, I usually provide a word bank on the board. After, I ask if they have any questions about vocabulary or expressions.

Hi teachers! 
in this esl lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a commercial/holiday video and do a listening exercise about a man learning english so that he'll be able to communicate with his granddaughter, who he meets for the first time. It includes discussion questions and conversation activities about christmas, wish lists, and learning english. In the first post-viewing section, students have a follow-up discussion about the video, and discuss some of the methods the man uses to learn english. In the second post-viewing part, is a follow-up wish list task for students to do alone or in groups.
