This is a worksheet that accompanies a short vide clip adapted from an old version of Total English. It involves discussions, vocabulary work, comprehension questions further development. I use it with upper-intermediate students and also use it as an introduction/complement with advanced students when talking about management and leadership styles.

COVID PRESENT PAST AND FUTURE

These worksheets contain classic cartoon characters in order to make it more enjoyable. It deals with verb to be in the affirmative and negative forms. Students already have the subject and the complement in these sentences. Each sentence is signed with an affirmative and negative form for them to see which best fits. After completing the task, teachers can cover the sentences and students can make a negative and an affirmative sentence using verb to be.

My Boardgame For Gerunds

A classic 'Find Someone Who' ESL mingle activity but with gerunds and infinitives. This activity only uses seven verbs: love, want, enjoy, try, start, learn, and finish. A great ESL activity to complement lower level classes learning about gerunds and infinitives for the first time.

Find Someone Who - Gerunds and Infinitives

Intermediate level worksheet.  Used to practise and recognise Subject + verb + complement.  The students have to re-arrange the words to make coherent sentences.  They can then practise the dialogue, working on intonation and stress patterns.

At the Hospital - gapped dialogue

Fun speaking activity for adults from lower-intermediate up. Student A begins with a complaint. Student B must defend themselves, based on their side of the story. A good complementary exercise when you teach about jobs, work and office life.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets
