Going to a party

A written comprehension for Year 9 students to start my chapter about how to go order in a restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner and to complain or compliment.

Typical British and American Breakfast

Phrasal verbs connected to entertainment in some way. First a mix-and-match with bingo cards to compliment the exercise. Then a fill-in-the-gap exercise. Then a story and a debate related to the story with accompanying personality cards to help the debate along. Answers are at the back as are extra bingo cards.

World Teacher's Day

This is a great compliment to a Halloween Lesson.

1). Cut the story in pieces.  Have the student read each paragraph and put the story in order.  Clarify any unknown vocabulary.

2).Have the student fill in the gap fill with the past simple tense. 

3).Read the story together then discuss. Do you know any urban legends?  What's the scariest story you've ever heard?
