With this ws the ss can practise when to use someone/anyone/no one, something/anything/nothing, somewhere/anywhere/nowhere. The grammar helps them to keep in mind what is important. How to make Compound Words

This time I collected the grammar about the compound words with some, any and no, and 30 sentences to them. This ws is for intermediate ss. The cliparts are from Philip Martin. Hope you find it useful.

There are 27 pictures & two lists of words that the students have to join to form one-word compound nouns. Then they write the name under the correct picture. Hope it's useful!

One-word compound nouns

Two-word compound words (-ing )

There is a brief explanation on how compound nouns are formed. First students have to match the parts. Then they match them with the pictures and write the words under each of them. Fully editable. Greyscale and key are included.

I created this worksheet for my adult ESOL learners who were learning to create new words by combining  two nouns together! It helped them with their spelling too.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
