Reading Comprehension (Conversation)

These are questions students should answer to talk about hobbies. There are 8 questions and you can use them as part of a bigger lesson on hobbies. You can use them either at  or end of the lesson.

After you teach your basic students to introduce themselves and greet each other, now they have a chance to show how much they really understood and practice by themselves using this activity.

BASIC CONVERSATIONS - GREETINGS

The worksheet is for young learners or students with learning difficulties, level A2-B1. They have to speak about the picture. The questions they have to answer direct the conversation and stimulate students to speak.

This worksheet is designed to encourage young learners into practicing their English in conversation. The topic is chosen to relate to something they know and are able to speak about. 

SCHOOL - CONVERSATION PRACTICE

Ss will practice grammar and sentence structures by putting words in the correct order to complete sentences. Once they have finished they need to put the sentences in order to make a comprehensible conversation. You can edit the conversation to suit your curriculum's needs and student's level.

CONVERSATION ABOUT MEMORIES

It is a Christmas speaking activity for students to work in pairs. Students exchange their experience. The worksheet can be used during a lesson about Christmas.

Christmas Conversation - Speaking

These are conversation questions on the topic of money. Students can use them as a warm up at the beginning of class or as an activity in itself in a speaking lesson.

Learners taking the B2 Upper-intermediate exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.</li><li>Interact with fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without difficulty for either party.</li><li>Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain an opinion on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.</li><li>Main grammar points to know: perfect tenses, mixed conditionals, modals in the present, phrasal verbs, reported speech, wish, relative clauses</li></ul>

Learners taking the C1 Advanced exam should be able to: Express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
