Thank you very much! I just made up the topics students should talk about. It's a fun speaking activity, a nice ice-breaker. I played with a group of new students and they really liked it. Hope you and your students will enjoy it too! Have fun!

2 exercises: Complete the questions using the correct form of to be (am, are or is) then write answers to the questions. This exercise is for a Dutch student [adult] so some questions might need to be changed to suit age/nationality.

I got the idea for these worksheets from the 13 questions exercises but all questions are my own. We usually discuss the answers together or in a group and do the writing exercise for homework. This helps reinforce what we have covered in the lesson.

Gap-fill exercise: Am, are or is?

Cut out the flashcards with the animals on it, then print one more for each student and don't cut the flashcards, students will have to take one of the flashcards and describe the animals to the other students using comparatives

Ex: This animal is faster than a turtle, taller than a elephant, etc...
