The test is prepared to evaluate learners of Jolly Phonics Pupil Book 2. Teachers may choose cvc words for the first part of the test and tricky words for test b. Test c includes  the picture for the word "spray" which comes with the next lesson. The test item for test c is only 11. The word "spray" is but a bonus.Test d is for long vowels. Test e is for reading and comprehension. The students are to read and complete the pictures with the missing items and or colors.

After students learn the phonic sounds for individual letters, the next logical step is to focus on CV, VC and CVC patterns.



This worksheet introduces consonants with e in three-letter words. These words are words that are introduced earlier on in the unit, and every word is with a colorful illustration! Students first review the sounds, and write out the random assortment in focused repetition. The activity finishes with a fun and speedy sight-reading activity for extra pronunciation practice and reading speed. Kids love these simple, focused challenges and the chance to show off their skills.
