This worksheet has been made for my B1 students to practise their reading skills. It is based on the principle of sorting information. You can find such exercises in various language exams as well. I believe, even lower-level students could complete this worksheet successfully.

The Best Travel Destination

A board game that asks students to tell about different topics like favourite food, favourite travel destinations, worst day etc.

Tell About....Board Game

Students follow the directions on the map to find out where they are. They practice using the directions by reading and following the map. They use the imperative and write the destinations in the gaps.

The new seven wonders of the world

Students create their ideal trips or holidays destinations to talk about. This activity can be done in groups, pair or individually.

When they take their decisions, they will present it in front of the class.

Using a pdf of the NYC subway (real maps are more fun but if youre not in NYC you can easily find a pdf online) students are given small cards which ask directions to famous NYC destinations! It is then their job to properly give directions!

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
