I have used this creative writing activity with my students in 6th grade (11 years old) They have to roll the dice to know the character, setting and problem to write about. You can decide the difficulty of the activity depending on the length of the writing.

A boardgame for students to practice the creation of predictions by using the modal verbs Will/Won't or Might/Might not, as well as adverbial phrases of future time

Dice of Prediction (Will/Might)

This is a very fun short activity which you must unscramble the letters on the dice in order to find the correct verb tenses related to the pictures. It's really effective in teaching spelling and have fun at the same time.

Verb Dice (Simple Past - spelling)

In this game, students make a die (dice) that has pictures of parts of the body on it. After making the die, they roll it, using the game sheet to track how many times each picture comes up on top. I use a stamp to mark the worksheet, but you can use stickers, draw a check-mark, or even laminate the sheets and use dry-erase marker on them.  My students love this game! Parts of the Body dice game

This is an optional dice that students can use when playing with DAILY ROUTINE SNAKES AND LADDERS that I have also uploaded.

This dice indicates if the student has to make an affirmative sentence, a negative one, or a question. They should also include the vocabulary provided in the boardgame. Or you may also use the dice with a set of flashcards with action verbs.

DAILY ROUTINE SNAKES AND LADDERS DICE

Find a partner and play together with one person speaking the lines in the blue box and the other speaking the lines in the yellow. Throw a dice before you start to determine which line number to say in each section. Once you have finished, swap roles and start again. When you are confident enough with the kinds of expressions used, try the role plays with your partner.

Haggling Role-Play and Dice Game

1. Make pair or groups of 3 or 4.

2. Each player must have six markers to be placed in each starting point. (dice boxes on the very top of the board game)

3. Each player rolls a die. 

4. The player will answer a question according to the number of dots on the die.

5. The first player who reaches all the finish boxes will be declared as the winner.



Edit : I am teaching Japanese students that is why there are some Japanese related questions and words. You can edit these parts for your students.

A speaking activity for young learns to help them practice saying simple sentences using "can" and "can't".  Students can work in pairs or groups. 



The worksheet requires only one sentence of writing practice, as well as a drawing.  You can have students pick their favorite funny sentence to draw. 

I can but I can't - Dice Game

I teach some children who have troubles in their school English classes because they cannot read English well enough.



The objective with the dice is to get them to practice pronouncing CVC words so they learn how sounds go together and from that the spelling.



I have many activities for this, but I like using dice in class so made up this set.



You will make some nonsense words but even if you use "real" words many will not be useful to the learner for years. So, nonsense is OK.



There are two consonant dice, one for the first position and the other the last. There are two vowel dice though you only need one. (This was for my benefit.)



Cut the dice accurately so they fold up better. I glue them together but you can use tape too.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
