English grammar rules are about how to structure sentences and use parts of speech. Sentences must have a subject and a verb, and they must agree in number and person. The subject is the “doer” of the action and comes before the verb in an active sentence. Punctuation marks indicate the type and end of a sentence. There are five overarching rules that govern grammar: subject-verb agreement, pronoun usage, verb tense, punctuation, and spelling. These rules are essential for clear communication through written language.

•	If you answer the question correctly, you gain 1 point.
