Disability - Test 2

This worksheet is based on a TEDx Talk video. Janine Shepherd, a cross-country skier who hoped for an Olympic medal until she was hit by a truck, shares a powerful story about the human potential for recovery. Before watching the video the students do a vocabulary matching exercise. Then they watch the video and do a True/False exercise. Answer Key provided.

This Paralympic Games ESL activity begins with a set of conversation prompts to engage your ESL students in a discussion about the Paralympics. Following this, students will conduct online research on a Paralympic athlete, exploring their sport, personal journey, and how they became involved in the Paralympics. The Paralympic Games Activity

This A2-level worksheet is designed to help students practice using linking words such as because, so, and even though in context. Through the story of a former Humboldt goalie overcoming a tragedy to compete in the Paralympics, students will connect events using linking words to show reasons, results, and contrasts.
