The spring carnival season is coming, so I've created this ws for having fun while reading and doing some great exercises regarding the topic 'donuts'.
The ws contains:

Donuts/Doughnuts

This worksheet is for adults and high school, level B1 students. The students read the text and answer true or false  questions. There are also open questions that students have to answer. The text should also introduce a debate about the subject.

Easy reading - Donuts

This is one exercise to develop listening skills by completing a short dialog while watching an excerpt of an American TV show. Time 10-15 min

Food- Do you like broccoli?. these words in the worksheet taken from the song do you like broccoli.. Super simple songs.. ice cream donuts pizza popcorn bananas .

Closer to practice the second conditional. S. creates sentences such as "If Homer didn't eat so many donuts, he would be more fit." 

There are plenty of possible sentences with the different pictures, practicing formation and use of the second conditional.

T. point out that we use the second conditional here because it's improbable/impossible for Homer to change because he is and always will be a lazy person.

Students will look at a picture of a person they may not recognize, they will then answer the questions on their notebooks. They will then form a donut or a ladder and speak to each other about their answers. Then the teacher reveals who the person really is (answers on 2nd and 4th pages). The teacher can show this on the projector or print out the question pages to be used in groups/individually. (the characters can be modified; the ones used in this activity are known in the Arab world.)

Guessing

Sweets in english for children

Students have this on the projector or as a worksheet without showing them the answer sheet. They read and answer the questions. They then form a donut or ladder shape moving each time the teacher claps his/her hands. They speak to their partners about their answers. After that, the teacher reveals the character.

Guessing the Character

Students answer the questions given to them as a worksheet or displayed by a projector. They discuss their answers with partners in a donut shape or in a ladder shape. Then when they are finished, the teacher reveals the character and the students read the answers aloud.

Fill in the correct form of either comparative or superlative of the adjective in the (). The whole task has Valentine's day theme, so it's a great practise of your Valentine's day vocabulary as well.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
