The Beatles - I've just seen a face

The students have to read a text about the origin and history of Santa Claus. They then have to answer questions about the text and about their traditions. There are also questions for students who don't celebrate Christmas as a religious celebration and they have to describe their own traditions.

Face-Off (2 by 2 speaking) numbers

This is a game of dominoes where each player lays a tile with one end matching the open end of the last tile laid.  I print it off two times so that everyone has plenty of tiles.  The first tile laid is a double. 
 As each player lays a tile they say the name of the matching part or emotion. 
 I laminate the sheets so the game cards are more durable.  Good for young children

This is a board game I use with 9 to10 year olds.  You need a dice and playing counters.  It can be played with two or three players.  Pupils roll the dice, move forward counting in English and when they land on an image they must say what it is.
