Parts of the face

This is a very simple vocab handout of 5 basic parts of the face, plus the words "head" and "face".  The image was found on this webpage and is indicated as being free and permitted to be modified. https://www.needpix.com/photo/949734/woman-face-beauty-clipart-vector-sticker-outline  My students are pre-literate and emerging-literate adults who need just the basics.  I hope this is useful for teachers with a similar student population.  I have found exellent basic face and body labeling worksheets on islcollective, and wanted to share this as a pre-labeled handout.  They can practice saying and spelling the words, and use the handout as a reference for the labeling worksheets.

Beginners exercises with: name the body parts, describing people gap fill, written part (describe and colour the alien) and can/ can't with sports. I used them as a part of A and B test.

An easy way for pupils to describe a FACE ( hair, eyes, accessories, etc). You can use this worksheet for very young learners with a simple description and add more details with the older.

A Variation on the Make a Monster Game



Vocabulary is intermediate, although the .doc file can be edited for your preferred level and vocabulary. 

All ages enjoy laughing at the crazy drawings.



Another element can be added to review vocabulary (numbers or colors). 

For example, if the vocabulary is body parts and colors, one roll will determine the body part and another will determine the color. (pink nose, blue arms, etc.)

You can even use two dice and more vocab if you'd like.



Materials: a die or two, a whiteboard or chalkboard, paper or this print out and pencils/markers if your students don't already have them.

Scary Face Halloween Game

A fun activity to reinforce parts of the body/ parts of the face and colours. Give each student a copy of the sheet (there are 2 sheets per page for easier copying!) and a different coloured crayon. Shout out parts of the body/face one by one e.g "draw a leg!" or "Draw an eye!" and when they've drawn one, have them pass their sheet to the person next to them and shout out the next body/face part. When finished, they should have a body/face with different coloured parts. Have them describe what they have on their sheets to the class, or they couldask eachother in pairs.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
