Here is a listening exercise based on a COVID-19 video. I separated the script into 5 parts 1 minute each for better understandg. Also I used several online dictionaries to provide vocanulary before the extracts.

Fill in the blanks on COVID-19 video

This is a worksheet I made for my students while they watch The Little Mermaid. They will fill in the blanks for "Part of Your World" and then they can choose one character they like and write why they like them.

It's designed for low (ish) level High School students, and surprisingly it has worked well for vocabulary, and is an easy movie to understand.

Part of Your World Fill in the Blanks

Students must guess the carnival costumes and fill in the missing letters. This activity goes along with my YouTube game here: https://youtu.be/MCd_uCmehrU


Each word contains 5 letters and students must fill in the two missing letters. Words include costumes like queen, alien, witch, devil, angel, ghost, fairy, robot, etc.


Students then can practice reading comprehension by filling in the blanks with the correct word from the first part of the activity. The answer key is provided on the second page.

Carnival Costume Fill-in-the-Blanks Activity with Video

Fill in the blanks for this worksheet. This worksheet could be useful for listening and writing comprehension. It can be used as a whole class activity. They have to listen to the music one or two times (available on Youtube) and fill in the blanks as they read along.

Fill in the blanks...For The First Time in Forever

Word transformation exercise based on the short video "Do you like my decorations". It contains verb - noun - adjective transformations for B1 or B1+ level students.

Play the video first, instruct the students to read the given words, explain that they will need to change the form of the verbs, play the video again and let them fill in the gaps. Check.

Students must unscramble 10 words related to Valentine's Day. Then they must fill in the blanks with the vocabulary learned in the sentences below the scrambled words. Alvin and the chip munk 1- Fill in the blanks

Students must fill in the missing letters of the Carnival vocabulary words: masks, prize, dance, music, float, etc. Then students must fill in the blanks in the sentences provided with the correct Carnival word. The video shows pictures of the objects/words after the answer is revealed and includes a review section. You may want to teach the students these words before playing this game if they have a lower level of English.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
