I find that the example is necessary, as a lot of my students can't convert the statements in the third person into questions and just read. Good activity as an ice breaker or warmer - gets everyone moving and talking to each other.

Tic Tac Toe Oral Activity with Gerund/Infinitives

Used this type of activity with success in my very mixed level classes of Elementary School Grade 5 and 6 students.I usually brainstorm possible answers to the "me" questions first. My aim was to get everyone speaking in a non threatening environment. The points give the added incentive for the worksheet to be completed.
