A wonderful picture, it is from the 1960s but was doing the rounds recently. They have to find over twenty mistakes, which provides for practice of many basic structures. The mistakes are outlined on page 2.

Find the mistakes

Students go and ask their classmates, if they get an appropriate answer, they write the name in the blank space. Shorter version: The student who gets 'bingo' as the first one wins. Longer version: The one who gets an answer for all the questions wins. You can use the cues and create many more cards or just change the boxes, so not all the cards are the same.

Asking and answering questions about the past (past simple - was and were) combined with practicing names of different places. Students mingle, ask each other questions and write down their answers.

This "Find someone who..." ws is meant to be used with a new group the first time they meet. It is fully editable so you can make it meet your wishes.
