The Chain Game

A domino game where you practise asking and answering questions about the colours of the given objects. Cut it into strapes and laminate.

I used this game with ESL students the week of Halloween. It was fun to use as flashcards and then we played Memory with the phrases on the other cards. In order to get a point, the student had to say the phrase " I am a __" when they chose a card that was face down. Overall, the game made the class really fun. I also let them pretend trick or treat if they used the phrase correctly at the end. 

Halloween Matching Game

This is a board game for young learners. It covers the topic Clothes. It is based on the book Cookie and Friends (Starter). The target language is put on, take off, hat, shoes, trousers.

Cut the cards out so that you have a deck of cards to choose from.  Get one student to pick a card at random and then draw the image on the white board.  The first person/team to guess the right answer gets a point.  The winner/winning team is the one with the most points.

The map of the hotel is the guideline for the directions that the students have to take in order to reach their final destination, a specific location in the hotel itself. There are 8 cards, cut these cards and ask the students to find the destination for each list of directions in each card. The scheme of answer is also provided. I used this to teach preposition of directions to my kids, I think I had underlined each prepositions in the directions. The hotel is called "Hotel Glamourzonia" because it is glamorous,luxurious, expensive and comfy hotel for those who are seeking their own starlicious sensations!
