Movie genres

This is a simple exercise that brings two activities that work with books genres.  The first activity has some books' covers and aks to the learner to identify their correct genres. There is also a question about the learner favourite genre. The second activity has short synopses to be match with the correct books. 

Book Genres

These exercises work with the movie genres and also giving opinion about them. It's simple, can be used with beginners. 

It's similar to another exercise I've posted here, but I did some modifications.



Movies genres

This is an activity meant to get students to match definitions with the right movie genres. It's comprehension-based and students can also do a conversation activity at the end.

A short reading about TV programmes. Students identify the small texts and write the correct title in the oval box. Second the write about their favourite TV programme and why they like it.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
