Halloween Roll-A-Ghost

Snow leopards live high up in the mountains of Central Asia.
They usually live at night.
They have strong fur which protects them from the freezing cold.
Snow leopards have also got spots which help them hide from their prey.
They eat wild sheep and goats.
They are strong and can kill animals that are three times bigger than them.
Unfortunately, they are an endangered species.
In Kazakhstan there are less than 200, so we need to protect them in order to survive.

Here's a scary ghost story aimed at teenagers at pre-intermediate and intermediate levels. Students read the story, answer some comprehension questions and imagine and write the ending. Then, they read the true ending, compare it to theirs and answer some more comprehension questions. Finally, there are some discussion questions for students to focus on speaking. This story is written using past narrative tenses (Past Simple, Past Continuous and Past Perfect Simple), so you can use this story to passively introduce these tenses, to provide your students with further and richer exposure to these tenses or simply to practise them. This file contains a ghost story and provides an easy reading comprehension exercise. Students must read and then answer the questions below the passage. Good exercise for A2 level.

There are two parts in this worksheet. 

First is a song released by Rolling Stones last year. The lockdown song which can easily open a conversation about the Covid time. Just be aware there are two versions released one without the part in lyrics, so always check which version you have. Even if you don´t have the full version you can practice guessing the missing words in the verse with your students.

Second part contains speaking cards with ´Covid vocabulary´. My idea is that students have to describe card they have and the others should guess the word in it.
