another "memory card game" with A to Z words - this one WITHOUT the names written - find the other file where there are the pictures with names. you can practice new words, alphabet, spelling, do some speaking activity - e.g. students would take one picture and describe it to the others who must guess what it is... or just play the memory card game... whatever

I made these cards to revise present continuous tense. One student comes out in front of the other students. He chooses a card and acts out what´s written. The other students guess, but the point is that they should say the whole sentence. You can print the cards on a cardboard or laminate them so they last longer. 

Level: elementary

I make these cards to use for practicing the target language of the modals.  I print these out and cut them. Then I fold them in half. The students have to guess which answer is correct. If they get the correct answer, they roll the dice and get whatever score. (roll X 5) = 5 times what they roll.

To revise forming questions; question words and word order in questions. Students first try to guess the answers and after that discuss what the question words are and what the word order is in questions.

This game plays like Guess Who. Students should play in pairs and select one character and keep that secret. They then take turns asking each other 'Do you like ~?' Then, using the process of elimination, students try to guess their partner's character.

FREAKS AND GEEKS [EPISODE 5] 

A way to start the new school year reviewing the classroom vocabulary. Students can work individualy or in groups. They could also use or not the dictionary, depending on the teacher. You can give a time limit or not. Whatever works for you.
