Cut out the flashcards with the animals on it, then print one more for each student and don't cut the flashcards, students will have to take one of the flashcards and describe the animals to the other students using comparatives

Ex: This animal is faster than a turtle, taller than a elephant, etc...

In this lesson, pupils learn how to talk about family members using the Simpsons. The lesson assumes a basic knowledge of the verb "be", the verb "have" and English phonetic transcription. The activities are very easy. Pupils have to fill in the gaps using vocabulary for family members and they have to read sentences and guess who it is. To users of islcollective: please do not copy my worksheet. I do not want to find my work stolen and replicated on other sites. It is alright to use worksheets made by others in classrooms but it is not fair to steal someone else's work and put it across as yours.

Let students practise speaking skills while explaining the words shown in the squares. Cut the squares up and place the upside down. Students take turns describing and guessing. Who guesses most words?

in this exercise, students should only use the past simple and past continuous tense of the verbs provided in brackets and according to the rules their teachers have already presented to them and fill in the blanks. they could also ask questions about every picture or person in the picture and elicit as many questions as possible. The pictures could also be used to practise other tenses such as the present continuous tense.Eg. "what is Emma doing in picture 12?" Students could describe the pictures or their teachers could use them as flash cards and hand them out to their students who could then play a game. Eg."Guess what Emma is doing in my flash card".

 Moreover, the cards can be used to describe their physical appearance and talk about their personality.

Who is who?

A very funny game! It's a battle ship about "there is/there are". Firstly, students have to place their "squares" on their own home. Then, they have to ask their classmates what there is in their home (the enemy house) by saying, for example, "is there a fridge in your kitchen?". The first who guesses all the squares wins!
