These words are taken from On-Screen C1, module 5. I guess it can be useful if you want to check your students. You could use it for pair work as well. Give them 4-5 minutes to complete the task.

Fun communication activity, designed to get your pupils talking. Listening to information to guess which the monster is being talked about. Giving/asking for information Answering using short answers. Practising the verb to be, present tense, 3rd person singular.Positive/Negative/interrogative forms. Practising can/can´t and has got. Which monster? 

Crossword puzzle on jobs and occupations. Student are presented with some clues to guess the job and find them in the puzzle also some pictures are presented to be matched with the jobs.

It's a listening exercises that aims to widen students' knowledge about literature. Students listen to Emily Brontë's poem, and do the related exercises.

The first exercise is a put the lines in the correct order - students can do this first (guessing) and then listen to the poem (rhymes help) or they can do it while listening to the poem. 

The following exercise is to identify some new vocabulary.

The last two exercises are to identify literary devices and the type of verse and rhyme pattern.

Two sets of simple questions on the subject of film and cinema. I guess the scope here is so universal that even if your students are not keen cinema-goers, they will certainly have something interesting to say. Enjoy!

The  teacher makes copies and gives them to each pupil. They have to talk about the activities they do. The rest of the class guess  the job.  Hope they enjoy it.

Jobs in pairs

To play, everyone sits or stands in a circle. One by one, each person in the circle says three statements about him/herself. Two of these statements must be facts, or "truths," and one must be a lie. The other members then try to guess which statement is the lie.

Song to practice listening. It helps identify nouns and prepositions. Listeners have to lsten, fill in the blanks and discuss some phrases (teacher's choice). Vocabulary activities can be: look up in the dictionary, or guess in context.
