Test for hairdressers

Students have to match the words in the box with the pictures below. Every word has a picture to be matched with, even though pictures can be described with multiple words.
Words are divided depening on the topics: tools, verbs, hairstyles. 

Pictionary for Hairdressers

A story about a hairdresser/barber who has a day where he gives free haircuts. True or false and some comprehension questions. Practice for the past simple tense. Key provided. Fabulous fonts! 

The Kind Hairdresser

A short RC, to practise the present simple tense. The students read the passage about Lydia and answer the questions. They can also practise description by describing Lydia and what she is wearing/holding.

I created this worksheet for my entry 2 ESOL learners who will be working on different themes this term. This worksheet sheds light of vocabulary needed when going to the hairdresser.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
