Vocabulary is intermediate, although the .doc file can be edited for your preferred level and vocabulary. 

All ages enjoy laughing at the crazy drawings.



Another element can be added to review vocabulary (numbers or colors). 

For example, if the vocabulary is body parts and colors, one roll will determine the body part and another will determine the color. (pink nose, blue arms, etc.)

You can even use two dice and more vocab if you'd like.



Materials: a die or two, a whiteboard or chalkboard, paper or this print out and pencils/markers if your students don't already have them.

Scary Face Halloween Game

First, match the vocabulary to the pictures the, you can work on the pronounciation. Then find the same words in the wordsearch. When everyone is done, start watching the cat scene from hocus pocus until the end of the story about the witches and then answer the questions. Then, the students can try to read the spell in a witchy voice.

Short story of Halloween history and customs.  I use it as a running diction but you could use it as a reading also.  There is a quiz that goes with it.  Also great for a telephone type game where the students have to pass the story down a line of students by talking and the last one writes it down.
