This is a popular game for spelling. You can start using the first letter to the alphabet to the last one and make a word out of it. It's  total fun and very useful for spelling. 

HANGMAN

Bring some Halloween fun to your classroom with Beat the Witch!, a creative version of Hangman designed for Halloween. It gets students guessing spooky vocabulary while you build a witch on the board, step by step. If they don’t guess the word before she’s complete, she flies away!

Listen to the song and fill the missing words. This will have to be done in pairs, under the mechanic of the hangman game. The winner will be who had completed more games. You are allowed to replay the strophe three times only. Only one word from each strophe will be played in pairs.

First student need to find the opposite of the adjectives given in the wordsearch. This way they work on the meaning of the adjectives they will have to use in the comparative form in the second exercise. COMPARATIVE OF SUPERIORITY

The text is from the NY Times Learning Network and I created a vocabulary exercise using 10 words from the text. To introduce the article I used the title, The Roswell Incident, as a hangman sentence and then had students brainstorm/discuss what they knew about Roswell. After reading the article, students completed the vocabulary exercise, using the article for support (answer key is included). I then used the photo included as a starting point for a discussion about their thoughts on Roswell, UFOs and aliens in general, including other possible explanations for the strange things that people have seen. The students enjoyed the text and the discussion - I hope yours will too!

1. I start with the dominoes as a warm-up and to lead-in the vocabulary.



2. We then check the answers to the dominoes on the Power Point and I add extra information about each word and drill pronunciation.



3. Students then fill out the blank squares in the \'roll-a-story` boxes and then go through the story, rolling the dice to determine the outcome of their story. If there\'s enough time, 1 person from each group reads out the best story. 



3. Students then read the quiz questions for the \'Thriller\' quiz through and watch the video, answering as they watch in groups.



4. We then check the answers interactively by watching through the video again and tapping on the answers.





Halloween Roll-a-story (Thriller Quiz Vocabulary)

To practice and refresh vocabulary related to Colours, numbers, school materials, prepositions and the day of the week I did this boardgame. (Thank you very much to Muchahorta to do the template!!)



There are different activities to do while you play:



1)Questions (another classmate has to ask, and he/she answer)



2) Numbers (Day of the week. You see a calendar and see what day is 8 (monday, tuesday or so on). Also it appears the day of the week, and you have to discover the number of the day.



3) Hangman game (to practice how words are spelled) 



4) Actions (students would have to do actions, recognising prepositions in/on/under).

Objective: to learn fabric patterns / print vocabulary, is a fun activity, that might be completed with hangman in the witheboard, applied to the fabric patterns already existing in the classroom, the ones we all are wearing, and with a fashion magazine as well, to use the rest of sujects, for examples, prince charles and diana ARE wearing, this has plenty of possibilities, as we can also introduce the verb to wear.
