This worksheet is useful to practise the vocabulary related to rooms in the house. As it is colourful, students get more involved. Moreover, there is an exercise with anagrams for students to solve, which engages them most of the times, because kids are competitive.

The original was posted by member: bushraali. All I have done is make several adjustments to his/her worksheet. I have removed decoration piece. I have changed commode into toilet, sofa into armchair and ovan into oven. I also changed the positioning of the circles to avoid confusion or misunderstandings.

HOME - WORDSEARCH 1

The worksheet is based on the video that explores the use of technology in (smart) homes and outlines its benefits and risks. The tasks seek to develop students’ vocabulary (rooms and household appliances) and listening. The assignment contains listening for gist, listening for details, vocabulary focus.  The students get a chance to explore the new technologies they would like to have in their homes as well as assess the risks such devices can present. The tasks can be used for independent studies or distance-learning classes.

SMART HOME EXPLAINED

A worksheet based on a YouTube video. The video describes types of homes in Britain and looks at a typical house and the family living there. The worksheet includes a link to the video, a transcript and a follow-up comprehension activity.
