A worksheet to work a video about 5 important women: Juana Azurduy, Lola Mora, Hedy Lammar, Miley Cyrus and Angela Lerena.  It describes in a very simple way what they do or think. It's in Simple Present because my students haven't study simple past, yet.  I use it to work with kids and to think about women's role in history.

Prosody is Important

How does a VPN work?

The definition of "VPN" is Virtual Private Network. To understand what a VPN is, you need to know what an IP address is as well. An IP address ("Internet Protocol") is a unique and unrepeatable number that identifies a computer connected to the Internet



The number in your IP address is made up of four number combinations that refer to the country you are in or the type of network you are using (for example "124.28.16.180"). This would be like the zip code on your computer or phone.



An IP address is required to circulate information over the Internet, but unfortunately, it is this IP address that causes your geographic location to be shared with any website you try to access.



That's why VPN is important: VPN providers have servers located in different parts of the world, which makes it possible to redirect the flow of virtual information. This way you can use another IP address from those servers and thus hide your original IP. In other words, a VPN will allow you to navigate incognito. For example, you can unblock Netflix or unblock YouTube.



At the same time, a VPN service encrypts your data traffic, i.e. it applies encryption (such as a password) to the flow of your information. This protects your information and guarantees your virtual anonymity.
