Bedroom information gap activity

Studen A gets worksheet A, student B worksheet B. They have to ask each other questions about what is there in the house to find out the differences. There are 5 differences.

HALLOWEEN-INFORMATION GAP ACTIVITY

This information gap activity students do in pairs asking questions and putting down all the information needed. It helps to activate the following phrases into speech 'What is the name of..?What is the last name of..?'

Information gap activity (What is your name/last name?)

Students work in pairs, and each of them receives a handout with one-half of the speech bubbles already filled. They have to use reported speech to tell their partner what each of the people said and fill the speech bubbles with direct speech again.

These handouts will help learners practice questions - they will have to ask/answer each other to fill in missin information in their copies and complete the article about an unusual sport. As an extension, I always invite the students to invent their own new sport.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well
