With the easy board game, beginners and elementary learners will practise vocabulary and spelling in an enjoyable way. The questions can be adapted to make it more challenging should it prove too easy. Let´s make learning fun! (For higher learners, you can ask students to name 2 or 3 answer instead of just one). Could also be used as the basis of a spelling bee.

Intermediate Prepositions Part 1 + KEY

This worksheet is designed for extra speaking practice of Present Simple and Present Continuous, especially on making questions and giving short answers. It can be used after teaching these two tenses as  consolidation. Learners should play this game in pairs or in small groups. To make it more challenging you may ask your learners answer in full sentences. The document is editable so you may write the vocabulary you are learning instead of my variants.

This is a great activity for students to practise past continuous tense in a fun way. Students will get cards with names, places and weapons. They will go ask everyone else what they have by using a dialog. Similar to the cluedo games. I changed it slightly. This exercises are based on a video on Youtube that explains Easter activities and traditions in Britain. It is very interesting as the girl has a clear accent and says curious things about the festivity in her country.

Crossword practising common irregular verbs. This is a fun way to review irregular verbs in the present perfect tense instead of doing a worksheet. Should appeal to the class.

I have used this exercise in my class successfully.Students practise the reading comprehension. 

Students read the text about London Eye. Next, they translate several key words into their language. Then, they answer the questions about the text they have read. I have intentionally misspelt a word "weights" instead of "weighs" in the text to check how observant the students are. Those who find it get a special mark.

The worksheets are also appropriate for students with special educational needs as they provide adjustments in the font colour, in the type of font as well as the font size.

LONDON EYE (Text and Questions)

I was thinking about a fun activity to help students memorize verbs in the past simple.  It is a game like Dominoes, with the first and second columns of verbs instead of numbers.   2 students or more may play the game.  The student has to read the two forms aloud every time he/she gets a pair.  The student who finishes his/her dominoes firt is the winner.  Teachers have to paste the sheet of paper on a paperboard and cut the cards. Each card contains the basic form and past form of a verb.  Teachers  and can make new rules for the game. It's good to practice verb forms, spelling and pronunciation.
