Intermediate level worksheet.  Used to practise and recognise Subject + verb + complement.  The students have to re-arrange the words to make coherent sentences.  They can then practise the dialogue, working on intonation and stress patterns.

Students read a text using these cards. They have to use different intonations and voice tone to read the text. In groups, they take the card and read as it is said.

Pronunciation

Question tags are often used in spoken English. A rising intonation is used to show that the question is real and you expect an answer, whereas a falling intonation shows that the speaker just wants confirmation from the person being spoken to.
