I first used PhilipR's Job Riddle 1 sheet to talk about and introduce jobs then asked the students to come up with their own and share with their friends. I would work better with a class that likes to think. My grade 6's are very lazy.

The students have to find the correct word for the pictures. The answers are on the second page. It can be used as a classroom poster or you can give it to the students so that they can form a picture dictionary

Picture dictionary - Jobs in painting

Students have to read the description of each person and then write down sentences about their profession, their workplace and the means of transport they use. Students will mainly use the Present Simple Tense. A good exercise  for 3rd and 4th grade students.

This can be used with teens (ie. which job would they like in the future) or adults. 





Some of the vocabulary is quite advanced and I'd recommend pre-teaching it before using the worksheet with lower levels
