Kaboom

This is a mixed Kabooom! game. It consists of 19 jobs, animals and house riddles and 2 Kaboom cells. I designed this game for my A1 students and I used riddles which I found on ISLCollective.com website (just search "riddles" on the website). 

Each cell has designated points which are either 10 or 15 points. They will choose a cell first I will tell them the point and then read them the riddle and wait for them to answer. If they can answer the riddle at first try they will get the full point but if they can't next time that they choose the same cell the points will be reduced to 5 and 10 points

Kaboom!

The rules. Student pick and card from the stack, one by one, and do the tasks described. They collect the points from the cards. When a student picks the Kaboom! card, his points are removed. The tasks test: knowledge, physical ability, skills, etc.

The rules: Students pick a card from the stack, one by one, perform the tasks (knowledge, physical, riddles, odd word out, lexical and others) and collect the points from the cards. The KABOOM! card removes the score of who takes it. The key and a background card is provided if you would like to laminate the cards. Enjoy!

Part 2 of the previous Kaboom! which turned out to be a hit among my students. At a higher level, connected with Science and Nature. Students pick a card, do the task (knowledge, physical, spelling, pronunciation, logical, etc.) and collect their points. Kaboom! card removes all points of the player. I'll be happy if you like it. Kaboom! Science and Nature Game

Print, laminate and cut out the cards. Put them into a container. Students take turns to draw a card and they must make a correct sentence in the passive form. if they make a mistake, the card is returned to the container. If their answer is correct, they keep the card. If a kaboom is drawn, their cards come back to the container but the kaboom card is put aside. The  winner is a person with the biggest number of cards

Kaboom - Passive Voice - basic tenses

Part 3 of Kaboom! Games. The tasks are connected with Geoography, the World, Inventions. The task cards are colour coded and give a number of points for each of them. The tasks contain: speaking cards, miming and gesturing, guessing what a picture shows, correcting grammar mistakes, paraphrasing, odd word out, multiple choice tests. The key is provided. When KABOOM card is picked, a player loses all his/her points.

Learners taking the C1 Advanced exam should be able to: Express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
