This is a very easy song activity. I prepared this activity to my 7-year-old students. After listening, doing and correcting the exercises, I played the karaoke version (you can find on youtube). They loved it. Hope you and your students like it!

A very easy song for teaching present tense, basic vocabulary and of course to think about how special our mother is. If you want to teach some vocabulary by using music, this song could be helpful.

This is a listening activity for the song "Better Together" by the singer and composer Jack Johnson. 

You can make your students listen to the song first. Then, do the activities. And later, you can play karaoke for fun!

This activity is designed to go along with lessons about hometowns or cities.


Class listen to Frank Turner's song "Wessex Boy", you can easily find the official music video on Frank Turner's YouTube Channel. Have them read through the first sheet as they listen.


Show class the Mad-Libs sheet and have them fill in the gaps themselves about their own hometown. There are no "correct" answers, as it's based on student's own answers. But make sure their grammar and answers make sense.


If you're a particularly cruel teacher you can get the students to sing their own version in front of the rest of the class.
