A series of simple sentences with two pictures of ladies in their kitchens. They have to say which picture each sentence is describing. Good reading practice for beginners.

This a picture description exercise for beginners. The answer is contained within the question. I ask them to answer in full sentences and they have then created 25 sentences about a simple picture.

Picture description  - Whose kitchen is it?

This reading is taken from a magazine as I wanted my students to deal with real English. It is about home appliances. The question types are varied, with true /false questions, answer with your own words and some on the vocabulary found in the text.

There are three pictures. The students should write at least 10 statements about the pictures depending on their level.

After the students exchange their worksheet and the partner says if the statements refer to picture, 1, 2, 3 or to all of them.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets
