Letter Ss

This worksheet is called "I spy with my little eye - letter Ss". It can be used for young learners if you are studying the alphabet. The task is to find and count the words beginning with Ss (snake, spider, snail, sun). You can also give some writing sheets to your students (to write the words) or to colour these words.

A letter of complaint

A basic worksheet for young learners to reinforce some vocabulary containing 3 exercises. First, ss have to match the picture to the action, then they fill in the gaps with the correct letters, then fill in the gaps with the correct words. The ws could be proceeded or followed up with some questions e.g "how can you eat well?" "what kind of exercise can you do?" (Made using vocabulary from Macmillan Tiger Tales 2 unit 5 - What's the Matter?)

Teaching which preposition follows after which adjective. This one worked really well with my Ss when they had problems memorizing the right prepositions after adjectives. I wrote some little memo "poems" for adjective+preposition pairs, where the nouns or verbs start with the same two or three letters as the preposition, e.g.: "bored WIth WItches," "interested IN the INternet," "responsible FOR FORmatting your hard drive." Through combining an adjective with a "story" with alliterations, plus a picture, these little memos will help your Ss memorize more easily which preposition comes after which adjective.
