English Level Test - Instructions and Explanation
Introduction
This English level test is designed for 12-year-old students who are learning English. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and aims to evaluate different aspects of their language ability. The test assesses students’ grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, spelling, and basic comprehension.

Test Objectives
The test measures the following skills:

Grammar: Understanding of verb tenses, sentence structure, and subject-verb agreement.
Vocabulary: Ability to recognize and use words appropriately in context.
Spelling: Identification of correct spelling in commonly used words.
Sentence Structure: Ability to choose sentences that are grammatically correct.
Comprehension: Understanding basic concepts such as time, adjectives, and question formation.
Who Is It For?
This test is suitable for students at an intermediate level of English or higher. It can also be used to assess students with a more basic level, as their performance will provide insights into their learning needs.

Instructions for Students:
Answer all 50 multiple-choice questions. Choose the correct answer for each.

If you have a new private class comming up and you want to start thinking what level you are going to have to teach, this test is good for false beginners.

I have used this level test with several adults who had studied English but had forgotten most of it due to lack of practice. With this test I can start planning what they need to revise and what needs to be done from zero.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
