In the first two exercises, the students have to chose adjective or adverb to complete the sentence. In the third, they have to use comparison of adjectives or adverbs.

Adverbs and adjectives

Here is a test I've done for my 6ème (children aged 10-11) about the english speaking countries, their flags and the different nationalities. If it can be useful for some of you... Enjoy ! 

In ex .2, the answers I want are : 

Davin is from Ireland. He is irish. He is 11.

Ashley is from the USA. She is American. She is 10.

Mother's day around the world

A short list of food idioms, with definitions, which can be used for a matching activity in groups. I print it on colored paper depending on how many groups I have and then cut it into strips. The students work together matching the idiom with the definition.

Board game - animals

This is a game for intermediate students or above.It can be played with 6 or more students (Large classes - OK). Students mingle and ask questions like: Can you recommend famous sights in Rome? Do you know how much it costs to fly from London to Amsterdam? Can you recommend a hotel in Barcelona? Can you recommend a good restaurant in Paris? Students listen to the answers and write then down on their card. HINT: Expand and print the card onto B4 size paper before cutting them out as there will be more space to write the answers.
