Kids´ Song: I Like Elephants * Lyrics Gap Fill

A hit from Justin Bieber´s last album. I tried to make a more challenging worksheet, so there are 10 different exercises while listening: complete missing letters (only with the official music video intro), fill the gaps, extra words and correct mistakes, choose the word, fill gaps with synonyms, pronouns, pairs of antonyms, unscramble letters, match and then order lines. Post-listening there is an original activity, they have to watch the video, stopped it where indicated, tell the time showed on the clock and say what happens. I hope you like it!

I really like this song called "Rude" by Magic, so I created this lesson for my students who love learning English through songs. It's the first worksheet I share on islcollective so I hope you'll like it! :)

This listening exercise is a way to practise the forms of Past simple and Past continuous. Before listening to the song Jealous Guy by John Lennon ss go through the lyrics trying to predict the missing words  and figure out their forms. Then the teacher plays the song and draws ss' attention to the tenses used. In the exercise 2. ss are asked to show examples for each of these tenses in the song.

In ex. 1 they have to match the expressions used in the song with their descriptions.
