GREAT LESSON WITH ZERO PREPARATION NECESSARY! This is a GREAT activity for almost any class/level and it's always a big hit with my students.  Students must read the text message and try to understand what the abbreviations mean.  After going through all the abbreviations with them, have them write their own messages, then respond to each others messages.  This is one of my favourite lessons and it's a huge life-saver when I have to teach a surprise class or do something last minute!

It's a text about an alien talking about what he's doing at the moment, today, this week, this month, this year and in his life. It's a good way to talk about present continuous.

A message from an alien

In this paper, you have to decode the message by associate the letters with the pictures. For that happen, all you have to do is to substitute the images by the corresponding letters. And then, rewrite the message bellow. When you get the lines, you can thanslate it and tell to your teacher.
