The above printable, downloadable handout is intended for high school students and adults at Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is aimed at revising Verb tenses in English.

Mixed tenses

This worksheet is aimed for students A2+-B1 to practice tenses, such as present and past simple and continuous, futures and first conditionals. What I´ve found very useful is to complete it as a group to explore the different options, as well as discuss why one of the options is more suitable than the others.

Mixed exercises consist of numbers, date, time, pronouns & to be, singular-plural and occupation. In pronouns & to be part, please write down the name of your student, so the student is expected to use the 1st person singular pronoun. Hope it´s useful for you.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
