This is a Past Simple verb tense activity, in which students can practice listening and grammar. It is a good activity to contextualize the topic without too much grammar explanation involved. The lyrics are easy to understand and the singing is slow and smooth - a great aspect while teaching beginners, intermediate students. 

Bang Bang, by Nancy Sinatra

This song is an homage to Ed Sheeran's grandmother. It's his grandparents love story. You can practice the simple past, regular and irregular verbs with it. Hope you enjoy it.

A song for practising Past Simple (irregular verbs) It's really helpful if you include the solutions in the resource as it makes it easier for us in class to check the answers. Also, the solutions make the resource suitable for self-study.

Nancy Sinatra - Bang, Bang - Song Gap Fill

This is a filling the gaps song to consolidate past simple of both to be and the rest of the verbs. It is a very motivating song and it is a recent one from his album divide. Moreover, it transmits a nice message.
