This is a standart boardgame.

-> If the students get the number correctly, they may move one space ahead and if they don't, one space back. 

I like to play this game at the end of class as a simple review.

Numbers game

This is a really simple Q & A game for students to practise the difference between cardinal and ordinal numbers. Start by teaching the difference between cardinal and ordinal numbers (use the worksheet I uploaded entitled "numbers"!) and then do a follow-up with this game. 

Cut out the cards and laminate them. 

Divide students into two groups (girls versus boys always works well if your group is too large to have students changing places in class). 

Team 1 picks a card and asks Team 2 question. 

Winning team is the team with the most correct answers by the end of the Quiz. 

This activity works well even if you have a big group.

Number Game 

This is a speaking activity for young learners to practise numbers up to 20 - there are lots of cards as I have really big classes now. You give each learner one card and appoint the one who starts. Then they say out loud what they have and who they are looking for until all of them are formed in a chain/line. They really like this activity. Afterwards you might like to give each learner to do a certain TPR activity with the number they have (for example: jump 4 times, sit down 6 times, bend your knees 3 times and so on).

NUMBERS - game

This is a tool for kinaesthetic learning, practicing colors and numbers at the same time without too much repetition. 

instructions: 

1. print on A3 paper

2. cut them up and place them around the classroom or even learning center

3. (optional) whipster to student's ear and at them to pass down the their group. Try to fetch the card back as soon as possible.
