I usually use this activity to do a revision about Xmas symbols.

Children look at the pictures, read the words and then write the numbers next to the pictures.

There is a small space between numbers and pictures, because children can write A / AN when it's possible.

Just a quick note: for the Snowman, get your students to complete the small letter alphabet first (the body) and then the capital letter one (head+ hat) or they might get confused. For the Sandcastle, do the capital letter alphabet first and then the 5 vowels following the a-e-i-o-u order.

Works best with primary school kids (grade 2 and up) but your middle school kids might enjoy it as well!
