Misfits

A vocabulary cooler. After pre-teaching the vocab I cut up the facts and gave SS a fact each to describe to their partner. I did use a short tourism youtube video to help them feel at home first. Pronunciation and word stress was an important part of this lesson for new NZers. I just noticed a mistake which I have tried to change - Sir Edmund Hillary climbed Mt Everest in 1953, not 73!

The topic is holidays (and seasons). The idea is for the students to find out which word doesn't go with the others for some reason. I.e.: sail - sand - towel - spruce.
