Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>

Opposites Card Game (24 cards)

Play tic-tac-toe ( X and O), 3 in a row using antonymes (opposites). Make a sentence with the word in the grid or say the opposite word in the grid.

This is a simple matching exercise with basic vocabulary for beginners.  Students have to match opposites.

I designed it for Adults but you can use it with teenagers as well.

Opposite adjectives to describe people_Beginners

This is an exercise to be done in pairs or for use with single students. Instruct students to join the opposite extreme adjectives on the worksheet. If in class, you can have an answer feedback session for 5-10 minutes with individual students or pairs taking turns/ competing to answer.

- A further activity can be added where students or pairs must make up a sentence using both extreme adjectives.

Print, glue the back of the cards, cut and put on the table, organizing in rows. The student turns 2 cards. If they match, s/he keeps the cards and plays again. If they don't, s/he puts the cards back.

Family Opposites and scrambled questions

In this engaging activity students work in teams to guess the opposite adjectives of some comparatives. They write the right word, making sure they put the right comparative form as well as the right spelling.
