It's a fun activity in which beginner students watch the videoclip, answer to the questions and then, watch it again to fill in the gaps of the lyrics. It can be preferenciably used in classes about weather.

The objective of the exercise is to describe one of the houses using the provided words. The exercise can be used as a revision or writing task. Students choose one of the houses and describe it in detail.

A reading comprehension exercise about Washington Irving for elementary or lower-intermediate students. Most of the sentences in the text are in the past simple. Key included.

The students read the statements and look at the pictures. They answer the questions right or wrong. They have to correct the wrong statements.

In an other exercise, students correct the  spelling of the sentences.

Is there..?

This is a grammar drill activity (with the verb to be) that can be played with your students. You can divide the class in two groups or more and for each correct sentence (question or answer) the teams score points. The objective of the activity is to make students understand and practice the two types of questions: yes/no and information/wh questions.

If a student picks up an answer, he/she must give the question and vice versa. Sometimes the answer is not complete, so the person must complete it first, (conjugating the verb to be and using the correct preposition) then make the question. In this case, you can give two points to the group/student.
