There is two sheets for students (A and B).  Student A put questions to student B and tries to complete his own sentence. And vise verse student B asks student A.

Ask your partner and complete the sentences

Make pairs. 1 student is the interviewer, other student is the interviewee. Give them 5 minutes to talk and interviewer should learn as much information as possible about the interviewee. After 5 min, all the interviewers go out of class and the interviewees are supposed to fill this questionnaire. Collect the papers. Then, call all the interviewers back in the class and one by one ask the interviewers questions about their partners in front of the class. The interviewer who answers all correct Q's about his/her partner is the winning pair. Students love this game. I play it every Valentine's Day and even otherwise.

This activity concludes the topic of transferable skills and advice-giving grammar points from Unit 1 in B1 Business Partner. Can be done as conversation or writing practice. Students read 'posts' from a careers forum and write/say 3 pieces of advice for each poster, using target language from the textbook. Even if you're not teaching Business English, you can adapt this activity to your needs, such as teaching general advice-giving useful language.

Students ask simple questions with the verb to be and the simple present to get personal information from their partners. Then they tell the class what they have found out using the third person singular

The Five Senses

This is a role play game to practise complaints in a hotel. There are four different situations to complain about. One partner is the hotel manager, the other the guest. On page 2 you´ll find some useful sentences for these situations. - Typo removed, thank you for PM.

Complaining at a hotel- Role play

Cut the sheets in half (A and B). Split the students into pairs. Give each student one half of the worksheet and have them sit where they cannot see their partner´s sheet. The students try to complete their picture by asking where the places are in the box at the top of their sheet. e.g. Student A asks "Where is the hospital?" Student B answers "It´s opposite Sue´s house." Student A then draws a picture of a hospital in the gap opposite Sue´s house. Continue until both pictures of the town are the same. Have flashcards of all the places for the students to use as picture reference.

ESL/EFL Picture dictionary of body parts, plus a related information gap exercise. There are two different worksheets for pairs of students. Each worksheet has some body part names missing and others provided. Students explain what missing information they need from their partner.
