Emojis, history and rules to design them

A worksheet to work on numbers. On the first page there are examples and exercices on the second page. It deals with decimal numbers, whole numbers , dates and percentages. Hope it will be useful 

Reading numbers

Here you will find 12 activities based on the TED talk by Kang Lee "Can You Really Tell if a Kid Is Lying?". Students practice listening and speaking most of all, but some reading and writing are required, too. They also work with their guessing ability and have fun trying to spot "the liar". There is a teacher´s planning, the student´s copy, the transcript of the talk and the answers to the questions in the exercises. As an extra activity I have included a link to a survey which deals with the fact of spotting fake smiles, and which all my students have loved.

I created this worksheet as a reading composition exercise. I think the process of chocolate making is really interesting and i'm sure a lot of students will too. 

I recommend finding a short Youtube video about this subject to show to the students to get their interests flowing before starting this worksheet. I also would suggest a little chocolate tasting session after completing this, such as sampling how the percentage of cocoa beans in the chocolate affect's it's 'bitter' or 'sweet' taste.

For a follow-up, you could get the students to create their own poster showing the stages of the chocolate making process.

Greetings:  this is a worksheet to encourage students to expand their inventory of vocabulary on how to provide different answers to the question 'How are you?', and it also describes each answer, using emoticons and percentages on when to use them.
